Hey there! I'm Erica Ray, Founder of Spanish Starter & the Caminos Conversation Club. I'm a Certified Language Coach, Spanish teacher, and former medical interpreter. I've worked professionally with the Spanish language for the past 18 years and I've had the privilege of teaching thousands of Spanish learners through my programs and content.

Building the skills to engage with native Spanish speakers in authentic conversations early on helped me connect to the heart of Spanish before anyone ever tried to convince me that I should learn by memorizing lists of vocabulary and pouring my time into grammar rules (no thanks!).

Carlos, originally from Mexico, works with students from beginner to advanced levels and brings over a decade of teaching experience to the Caminos Conversation Club. Spanish Starter is for Complete Beginners or learners who want to review and practice the basics.

You may attend as many classes as you like! We currently have 10 available classes each week at the Spanish Starter Level with friendly, professional native Spanish-speaking teachers from different parts of Latin America.

There is no limit and no need to sign up ahead of time.

However, there is no pressure to attend all of the classes. Most students attend 1-3 sessions per week.

By the end of Spanish Starter, you’ll have built a solid foundation in conversational Spanish.

Once you complete the 12-week Spanish Starter Level 1 program, you’ll be the perfect candidate to continue your progress inside our Caminos Conversation Club membership, where you’ll unlock access to Level 2 (Apprentice) to strengthen your confidence in everyday conversations and Level 3 (Rising Master) when you’re ready for deeper, more advanced discussions.

And if you’re serious about fast-tracking your Spanish fluency, you’ll also qualify to apply for our 1:1 coaching program — Elevate Spanish Accelerator.
